The latest version of Bluestacks can access USER DOCUMENT folders from your PC. Copy the files in “My Document” Folder in your PC and extract them from Bluestacks. Follow the below procedure to change Whatsapp Profile Picture on Bluestacks from PC.

Steps to Change Whatsapp Profile Picture on Bluestack from PC:

• At first, Copy your pic into “My documents” in your PC.
• Now, Open Bluestacks and install a file manager app. I have installed “Astro File Manager” and recommend it to you too. Wait for the downloading and installing procedure to complete.

After getting some complaints, I have extended this article to “Alternate methods to change Whatsapp Profile Picture on Bluestacks“. There are two alternate methods, adopt one of them as per your convenience.

- Alternate Method 1:

• Go to My Computer>>C Drive>>Program Data>>Bluestacks>>User Data>>Shared Folder. (Program Data might be a hidden holder. So Set “Show Hidden Files, Folders and Drive” in View Option).

• Now, copy and paste your desired pic here.
• This picture will be saved in Bluestacks library under BstShared Folder. So, go to Astro File Manager>>BstShared Folder.

• Follow the same method till 3rd step as shown in alternate method 1 and select “Copy” instead of “Open As” in the 4th step.
• Now, go to  sdCard>>Whatsapp>>Whatsapp Images and paste it here.

They may spring upon you time-worn puzzles in probability theory. They may hypnotise you, and suggest you forget your name. By the time they're through, you may forget your manners - but don't expect to land a punch. Expert readers of body language, they will know the blow is coming, just by the way you clench your fist.

Derren Brown gives us fair warning: "If the techniques and thoughts in this book are new to you, there will be a tendency to be excited about them and want to show off what you have learned." If they are new to you, you are either aged nine, or a Martian. Brown offers a good deal of dusty stuff from the self-development shelves: how to remember people's names, how to spot liars. But he is interesting, and convincing, when he writes about the psychology of delusion. His shows, he says, involve "deception and exaggeration ... I happily admit to cheating, it's all part of the game." He's not going to tell you how he cheats, but he will give you some pointers. "Magic ... isn't about fakes and switches and dropping coins on your lap. It's about entering into a relationship with a person whereby you can lead him, economically and deftly, to experience an event as magical." When a trick is performed, the harder you watch, the more you may miss. You become committed to its process; you are complicit, and your attention moves as directed. It is natural, when we are surprised, to exaggerate the oddity and wonder of our experience. The truth of what happened is soon replaced by a "lovely false memory".

Every trickster is a debunker of other people's tricks. Brown debunks himself, pre-emptively, and undercuts his cleverness with facetious asides. He wants to be seen as thoughtful, ethical, and self-deprecating, and is certainly the latter. The central problem with his book is that the phenomena he looks at become less, not more interesting as he describes them. His pages on irrationality feel like a boiled-down version of other texts, perhaps not read with much attention. If you write on luck and chance, should you not check the meaning of "fortuitous"? If you crusade against the exploitation of the credulous, should you know what "disinterested" means? And these days, even writers with no magic powers have a spell-check.

Are these points worth making? Yes, because this book of weak jokes is serious in aim; he wants to straighten out the way we think. Some aspects of English grammar are a dark mystery to him. These aside, he seems to have got life worked out to his satisfaction. An evangelical Christian as a teenager in Croydon, he has not understood that belief may take more subtle forms than those Croydon offered him. He thinks of God as a slot machine into which you insert prayers, and which you kick to bits when you don't get a result. He is a reductionist and a literalist, and in order to attack Christianity he reduces it to a literal belief in the Bible: "Once you realise that the Bible isn't history ... it all falls apart." He doesn't see the difference between explaining and explaining away, between clutching at a delusion and embracing a metaphor.

Brown is fascinated by how human beings work, but the flow of scepticism is all one way. He has faith in the objectivity of scientists and in the peer-review process, neglecting to say that in science you get what you pay for. He stomps brutally on alternative medicine; if a treatment can be shown to work, he says, it's not alternative, it's scientific - it's really one of ours. So heads I win and tails you lose. In his view the healing arts are simple and testable, like car mechanics; let's get that heart of yours on the bench, and see if it's still broken.

Though he makes a good living as an entertainer, is Brown really up for fun? The more the debunkers stamp and shout "These are the laws of nature", the more some of us hope they will be broken. The psychic trade (a stench in the nose of rationalist piety) is full of frauds, for sure, and lottery tickets are a government-sponsored racket. But the sentiment that "It Could Be You" is incontrovertible, and hope keeps people going. Psychics are soft targets and there seems no point in attacking them and their audiences, or any other group of believers, without noting the social context in which belief flourishes.

It is true that people are not good at assessing risk, and are usually alarmist rather than blasé; but caution preserves us. We are not good at thinking about coincidences - nowadays we tend to call them "ironies" - but we like them because they seem to subvert the good order of the world, and they make us laugh. Superstitions unite and demarcate communities. A group of people praying together, or telling each other ghost stories, are engaged in an emotional bonding exercise of considerable social utility. Brown does not see this, and thinks religion is just for poor saps who need comfort.

If you want to start an argument this Christmas, this is your book; and you could do worse than look at the "suggested reading", though the main suggestion is that you read Richard Dawkins, whose recent The God Delusion is to our Derren a holy book. He mentions the scientist many times, and I hope that no intellectual snobbery prevents the admiration from being reciprocated. It would be gratifying to think that Professor Dawkins will work through these pages keenly and add to his repertoire of card tricks, which will be the talk of north Oxford well into the new year.

When you analyze your chess game it is sometimes hard to see all chess combinations that are hidden within a particular position.

If you miss a hidden trap of your opponent, then you lose instantly a piece or a pawn or even worse, you might get checkmated. Or you miss a strong combination which would have won the game for you right away.

For that reason, it is a big help, if you use X-Ray-Vision in your chess games.

To apply X-Ray-Vision in chess means, that you never look at the chess pieces, but to their energy lines. If you see a knight then you visualize the squares in your mind that are controlled by this knight. But you never look at the square, where the knight is placed itself, because this square is not controlled by the knight! It just sits on it, that's all.

If you use X-Ray-Vision here as White, you might find this difficult winning move. Re8+!! This move wins the queen and the game, as White has more material and the better position. The first Thought - This is the most important of all chess tips.

After your opponent has moved, what do you think first? Many people think they are the center of the earth and that planet earth is evolving around them. They only think about themselves and in which way they can overrun the opponent. The opponent simply doesn't exist in their minds and they only worry about their own moves and plans.

Some players might even think how great they are and that they are going to win just because they have the higher rating. This arrogant attitude will be punished in a chess game in no time at all.

If you think first about yourself and your own moves and possibilities, after your opponent has moved, then it is time to change this way of thinking completely, or you will never become a good player. You are going to lose many games just because of your attitude. Learn from the following chess tips.

After he has made his move, the right way to think is:
What is he threatening? What does he want? How can I stop his plans or at least reduce their effects on my position.

Make sure that you work out his plans or you might get into real trouble. He might threaten a fork and you see nothing or he plans a sacrifice that would destroy your kingside.

When you understand the move of your opponent completely, then you can think about your own moves and ideas.

Remember, you are not the boss in chess. What I mean is that your opponent is very important too. The game is not just evolving around you. If you just think about your own moves in a game you run right into a disaster.

Be a Fighter

Fight on move after move and don't play only half-hearted when you are in a bad position. If you lose heart you don't see your saving moves because your mental abilities are reduced. If you fight on, your opponent might make a mistake because he does not expect such hard resistance. In the long run such an attitude will save half a point here and there. Instead of losing, you might make a draw or even win, because he gets tired and makes a blunder.

Don't get into Time-Trouble as this will get on your nerves and paralyzes your mind.

If you are one of those players that get into time trouble on a regular basis then you should get this problem under control. Prepare your openings well and play the first 10 to 12 moves in just a few minutes.

Time trouble is like a disease for some players. They just can't control it. There are psychological reasons for getting repeatedly into time trouble in tournament games.

You have a strong opponent.
This makes you think twice about every move he does and you check constantly everything that happens on the board. You see dangers where there is nothing at all. You have hallucinations. Your mind is blocked by fear. You can't think properly. Because of that you rethink variations over and over to make sure that you have not overlooked something. This all costs time. Relax and forget about the opponent. It's just a game, you don't lose your life when you lose.

Just play your usual game. What can happen? Nothing much, you just might lose a game of chess, that's all. Your life is not dependent on that game. If you keep that in mind you stay relaxed and play well.


The position of the game is not after your taste.
You don't like this variation at all or this whole setup. You don't understand the position and can't find a plan. This makes you think longer. Tell yourself mentally that this position is fascinating and that you love to find good moves.


You are sad about missed opportunities in this game.
You constantly think about it. This cost time and nerves and clouds your thinking. Tell yourself that you consider this game from now on as a completely new game and that what has happened a few moves before is not important anymore. You are going to play well from now on.


Don't waste all your time trying to find the best move.
You might never find it and lose on time. Imagine how much time and energy you would need if you try to find the best move every time it's your move.

If you see a good move, check it and have a look around if there is a better one. If not, just move and then think on your opponents time.

Notes

• If you don't have enough room on your hard drive, you might be able to free up some space. For more info, see Tips to free up drive space on your PC.
• You need touch input hardware to experience the touch capabilities in Windows 8.1. For more info, see Multitouch hardware requirements.

• Check compatibility of programs and devices

  The Windows 8 Upgrade Assistant will check if your programs and devices are compatible with Windows 8, but you can checkWindows 8.1 compatibility info for a specific program or device (including info from community forums) in the Windows Compatibility Center, or contact the program or device manufacturer.

  Most programs created for earlier versions of Windows will work in Windows 8.1, but some older programs might run poorly or not at all. There are several things you can try to fix compatibility problems. For more info, see Get your apps and devices working in Windows 8.1.

  Drivers for basic device functionality are available "in-box" (meaning, as part of the Windows image). This includes drivers for storage, networking, input, and display. These drivers allow you to complete the Windows installation and connect to the Internet. You can get more drivers from Windows Update or from the device manufacturer once you're online. For more info, see Download and install drivers.

  Back up your data

  Since you won't be able to keep any files, settings, or programs when you upgrade from Windows Vista or Windows XP, we recommend you back up all files and locate any program installation discs (or purchase confirmation emails) prior to updating.

  You can transfer files before you upgrade by copying them to an external hard drive, USB flash drive, or CD, and then moving them to the location you want on your new PC. Be sure that the drive or disc has enough space to hold everything you want to move. If don't want to use an external hard drive, USB drive, or CD, you can move your files to OneDrive to have all your files in one place and have the latest version on your PCs.   After you upgrade to Windows 8.1, you'll need your original program installation discs, or purchase confirmation emails if you purchased programs online, to reinstall your programs. Insert the program CD or DVD into your PC or follow the directions in the confirmation email.

  If you've been using Outlook Express, Windows Live Mail, or the version of Windows Mail that came with Windows Vista, your email messages and contacts can be imported into Outlook.com using the Mail Migration add-on. For more info, see Import email from a desktop app.

  Note

  • You can still restore your personal files after you upgrade to Windows 8.1. Your files are saved to the Windows.old folder, where you can retrieve them after the upgrade. For more info, see Retrieve files from the Windows.old folder.

  2. Buy Windows 8.1

  You can buy Windows 8.1 or Windows 8.1 Pro on a DVD from a participating retailer (DVDs of the upgrade aren't available in all countries and regions). You can see current pricing on the Compare and decide about Windows 8.1 webpage.

  Determine if your PC can run a 64-bit or 32-bit version of Windows

  After you open the Windows 8.1 packaging, you'll see two installation discs: a 64-bit version of Windows and a 32-bit version of Windows.

  The terms 32-bit and 64-bit refer to the way a PC's processor (also called a CPU), handles info. The 64-bit version of Windows handles large amounts of random access memory (RAM) more effectively than a 32-bit version. To install a 64-bit version of Windows, you need a CPU that's capable of running a 64-bit version.

  To find out if your PC running Windows Vista is 64-bit capable

  To see whether a PC running Windows Vista is capable of running a 64-bit version of Windows, do the following:

  1. Open Performance Information and Tools by clicking the Start button , and then clicking Control Panel. In the search box, type Performance Information and Tools, and then, in the list of results, click Performance Information and Tools.
  2. Click View and print details.
  3. In the System section, you can see what type of operating system you're currently running under System type, and whether or not you can run a 64-bit version of Windows under 64-bit capable. (If your computer is already running a 64-bit version of Windows, you won't see the 64-bit capable listing.)

  To find out if your PC running Windows XP is 64-bit capable

  To see whether a PC running Windows XP is capable of running a 64-bit version of Windows, do the following:

  1. Click Start.
  2. Right-click My Computer, and then click Properties.
     • If "x64 Edition" is listed under System, your processor is capable of running a 64-bit version of Windows.

  Notes

  • If you start your PC using a 64-bit Windows 8.1 installation disc, but your PC isn't capable of running a 64-bit version of Windows, you'll see a Windows Boot Manager error. You'll need to use a 32-bit Windows 8.1 installation disc instead.
  • Most programs designed for a 32-bit version of Windows will work on the 64-bit version of Windows. Notable exceptions are many antivirus programs. Programs designed for a 64-bit version of Windows won't work in a 32-bit version.
  • Device drivers designed for the 32-bit version of Windows won't work on PCs running a 64-bit version of Windows. If you're trying to install a printer or other device that only has 32-bit drivers available, it won't work correctly on a 64-bit version of Windows. To learn how to check for drivers, see Download and install drivers, or go to the device manufacturer's website.

  Find your product key

  Your product key should be on the box that the Windows 8.1 DVD came in. It looks like this: PRODUCT KEY: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.

  You'll need to input your product key during installation. It's a 25-character code used to activate Windows, which helps verify that Windows hasn't been used on more PCs than the Microsoft Software License Terms allow.

  It's a good idea to save a copy of your product key for your records in case you ever need to reinstall Windows.

  3. Insert the Windows 8.1 DVD

  Turn on your PC so that Windows starts normally, insert the DVD, shut down, and then restart your PC. You might have to press any key to boot from the DVD.

  If you restart your PC and your current version of Windows starts, you might have to open a boot menu or change the boot order in your PC's BIOS or UEFI settings so that your PC boots from the media. To open a boot menu or change the boot order, you'll typically need to press a combination of keys (such as F2, F12, Delete, Esc, etc.) immediately after you turn on your PC. For instructions on changing the boot order for your PC, check the documentation that came with your PC or go to the manufacturer's website.

  If your current version of Windows still starts, try again by waiting until Windows asks you to sign in, shut down completely, and then restart your PC again.

Choose country or region settings

You need to choose a language to install, a time and currency format, and a keyboard or input method before installingWindows 8.1. You can always change these settings later.

4. Install Windows 8.1

Be sure to plug in your laptop or tablet if that's what you're using. The installation could take anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours with a high-speed Internet connection (1.5 Mbps–10 Mbps). The time depends on your Internet connection, PC, and other factors and might exceed these estimates.

Perform a clean installation

Warning

• When you format a partition during installation it erases any data on the partition. Be sure to back up the data you want to keep before you begin.

To clean install Windows

1. Click Install Windows.
2. On the Enter the product key to activate Windows page, enter your product key.
   The product key should be on the box that the Windows 8.1 DVD came in. It looks like this: PRODUCT KEY: XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.
3. On the Please read the license terms page, if you accept the license terms, click I accept the license terms, and then click Next.
4. On the Which type of installation do you want? page, click Custom: Install Windows only (advanced).
5. On the Where do you want to install Windows? page, click Drive options (advanced), click the partition that you want to change, click the formatting option you want to perform, and then follow the instructions.
6. When you've finished formatting, click Next.
7. Follow the instructions to finish installing Windows.

• You can only choose Custom: Install Windows only (advanced) when updating from Windows Vista or Windows XP. The option to upgrade isn't supported.

• 5. Choose your settings

  After Windows 8.1 installs, you'll first be asked to choose settings for your PC.

  Personalize

  Choose a color you like—you can always change this later from the Start screen. To do so, on the Start screen, point to the lower-left corner of the screen, move your mouse all the way into the corner, click Settings, and then click Personalize.

  You'll see a list of recommended settings, called express settings. To accept these settings and continue, click Use express settings. You can change any of these settings later, after you finish setting up. If you'd like to change some of these settings now, click Customize.

  Sign in

  Next, you'll be asked to sign in. If you see a local account sign in page, you'll need to sign in with your local account first, and then we'll ask you to set up a Microsoft account.

  Hide all

  If you already have a Microsoft account

  1. Enter your Microsoft account email address and password.
     If you have more than one Microsoft account, you'll need to choose one. For more info, see Which email address should I use for my Microsoft account?
  2. We'll send a security code to the alternate email address or phone number you've set up for this account, and you'll need to enter that code to verify that you're the account owner. This helps us protect your account and devices when you access sensitive info. If you don't have alternate contact info set up for the account yet, you'll be asked to provide it now.
     If you signed in to your PC using a Microsoft account before you installed Windows 8.1, then you might not see this step.

  If you want to create a Microsoft account

  1. Click Create a new account.
  2. Next, you'll be asked to choose an email address you'd like to use as a Microsoft account. This can be any email address you use, and isn't limited to just addresses that come from Microsoft. Enter the email address that you use the most. We'll use it to set up the Mail and People apps for you with email and contacts that you already use every day.
  3. Enter the password you'd like to use, and fill in the rest of the info, including your first name, last name, and your country or region.
  4. Next, you'll be asked to provide an alternate email address or phone number where we can reach you by email, phone, or text message (SMS). This helps us protect your account and devices whenever you access sensitive info using this account. After you enter this info, we'll send a message to you containing a security code, and you'll need to enter that code to verify that you're the account owner.

  If you want to keep using a local account

  Windows 8.1 is designed to be used with a Microsoft account, so we recommend that you give it a try. Simply put, a Microsoft account is the glue that holds together so many useful features of the new Windows. Without one, you won't be able to, for example, get new apps from the Windows Store, automatically sync your settings and documents between PCs, back up your photos to the cloud so you can get to them from anywhere, or see all your contacts from multiple email and social networking accounts together in the People and Mail apps.

  But if you're sure you want to use a local account instead, click Create a new account, and then on the new account page, click Continue using my existing account.

If this is your first time setting up a PC with Windows 8.1, you'll see the new OneDrive options.

If you click Next on this screen, your PC will use these default OneDrive settings:

• Photos you take with this PC are saved to your camera roll folder on this PC, and a smaller copy of each photo is automatically backed up to your OneDrive.
• When you create a new document, the default save location is OneDrive. But you can always choose to save individual documents locally or on another drive.
• Windows will save a backup copy of your PC settings to OneDrive. If something ever happens to your PC and you need to replace it, your settings are saved in the cloud and you can transfer them to a new PC instantly.

You can change any of these settings later in PC settings. If you'd prefer to turn off all of these settings now, click Turn off these OneDrive settings (not recommended). For more info, see OneDrive: FAQ.

Install updates

Because Windows is always being updated, it’s possible that critical updates have become available since Windows 8.1 was released. Windows checks for these critical updates when you finish setting up Windows 8.1 for the first time, and if it finds any, it will download them automatically. Downloading and installing these updates might take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour or so, depending on the updates needed. Your PC might also need to restart one or more times to complete the updates.
